Lorelings: An excerpt from the Lorekeeper's Guide
A field journal of forgotten truths and creatures that feel too much.
Welcome to the world of the Lorelings — beings born not from myth or magic, but from memory, emotion, and story itself. This guide is the collected work of a Lorekeeper: part naturalist, part archivist, part weary traveler of emotional terrain.
Inside you’ll find sketches, field notes, sigils, and character sheets documenting the many creatures that dwell in the unseen corners of the psyche — shy Echoforms who reflect our grief, bold Wardlings who guard what hurts, and strange in-between spirits that defy classification.
This isn’t just a bestiary. It’s a mirror.
It’s a map for those who feel like they don’t quite belong — and a reminder that even what’s odd, tender, or hidden still has a place in the story.
Whether you’re a fellow wanderer, an artist, a keeper of strange thoughts, or just someone who feels deeply — there’s something here for you.
You’re not lost. You’re just finding your Lore.
Echofoms:
Echoforms are a type of Loreling — beings shaped not by biology, but by emotional resonance and internal mythology. They are the anthropomorphized embodiment of lived experience: grief, shame, self-doubt, longing, rage, tenderness, and everything in between. Each Echoform carries a specific emotional backstory or survival pattern. They aren’t metaphors — they’re manifestations. They exist in the world of the Lorelings as fragile, strange, and deeply familiar creatures. You don’t meet an Echoform — you recognize it.
They are the form your story takes when it echoes back at you.
